Explorer's Log, Stardate: -305968.15
Crash-landed on an Alpine Planet. And to make matters worse, multi-tool sensors are damaged, as well as the ship's launch thrusters and pulse engines. Until both pieces of equipment are fixed, I'm marooned on this frozen, yet lush wasteland. The distress beacon contained an Atlas entity, I spurned it's guidance, as I naturally oppose the concept of such a deity existing, save for the fact the I was once a God, like all other cephalopods and those before them. That's right, I am an Inkling, and I now traverse the galaxy, on my own.
Upon inspection of the planet, which I dubbed "Yilan", it seems the Sentinels are very protective of the planet's foliage and fauna. This can be confirmed, since any tree or large rock harvested is notified by the sentinels. It wouldn't be long before they decide to attack me, so I struck first, and gained two pieces of tech from the drones: Beam Intensifier Sigma, and Stamina Enhancement Sigma. These drones rarely miss a shot, making dodging a moot tactic. I also picked up a Cannon Damage Theta upgrade for the Photon Cannon inside a downed pod.
Eventually, I did repair the Launch thrusters. but I still couldn't take off unless the Pulse Engines went back online. This required Herdium, usually found in giant crystalline formations, and are tinted blue. There was no time to waste, I set out to find the Herdium.
On the way over, I found a repository of a certain resource, held up by the sentinels. After claiming this sector and clearing out these dangerous tentacle plants, dubbed "Lashers", I finally came upon the Herdium. After collecting over two-hundred kilos of this element. The last thing required was Zinc. Zinc is harvested from yellow plants, dubbed "Zincranium" flowers. After collecting over twenty kilos. I returned to the ship and repaired the Pulse Engines.
I had to activate the pulse jump several times since finding iron in those pink floating rocks are scarce. Iron was needed to fuel the Pulse Engines. Eventually, I made it to the space station which were inhabited by the Gek. These guys seem to have evolved from birds, having beaks and clicking noises. I gave the Navigator some units, and he gave me an adapter for my boltcaster, the Wideshot, which many dub the "Scattershot" Upgrade.
No matter how great the danger, I will find my place in the Galaxy, and my beloved Valkyrie, whom the Octoling Empire have imprisoned on some planet. Checking the Station's archives gave me a lead to a system with a green sun. But that, is a journey for another blog.
