With a stroke of inspiration, I decided to register the discovery of this Star System, under the name: Corthaine Lambda. This is in honor of one of my writer's dearest friends, Lilly Corthaine. They both like Pokemon and Sonic, and have similar perspectives of the fandoms they belong to. Nick (my writer) has made a promise to give back to his online companions, once he turns old and had his fun. My only problem is, will he keep that promise?
Anyway, there's still much to survey on Corthaine Lambda, maybe I'll start planet-hopping for a suitable environment to call home. I still have to find and rescue Valkyrie from the Octoling Empire, and find the Atlas station, before the Octo-Empire starts flaring up stars.

Journey Journal: The Explorer's Backstory
To truly understand my motive in the Euclid Galaxy, it would be informative to explain who I am, and why I am here. In my previous entry, I stated that I am an Inkling. Well that part was only half-true. Since my mother was an Inkling, and my father was a Nord. My mother used magic to disguise her true entity, and continued to keep that a secret right up until I was born. My father was outraged, and tried to cull me, but my mother, showing her true colors, pleaded for my life, claiming that I would be a driving force against the Aldmeri Dominion when I came of age. My dad never liked having an inkling for a son, but liked the Thalmor even less, so he spared me.
In my grade school days, my dad taught me the art of combat, and blacksmithing, while my mother trained me in the matter of a diplomat. From both parents, I was taught not just how to wage war, but also how to make peace. However, circumstances change like the tides of the ocean. When I was ten, my parents were killed by conspirators from the Tankhood of Ursula, a splinter faction of the Octarian Army, commanded by Miranda Mae-roon, a Megalomaniacal Matriarch who believes she can finish what Octavio started. I fled to Inkopolis via a magic scroll my mother gave me. I alerted the Squid Sisters to the atrocity, and after eight long years of training, I set out to find and defeat Miranda.
It wasn't long before I discovered the Splatorians, commanded by a leader who goes by Splatalore, I soon realized that their opposition, the Octoling Empire was becoming a far greater threat than that of the Tankhood. Once the dractoling, Crimson broke free from solitary, I spent the next nine months learning dragon shouts, including the Dragonrend. By the time my training was finished, Crimson decided to seek help from the Zerg.
After six months of war in the Koprulu Sector, the Zerg were forced back to Char, but Crimson and the Octoling Empire discovered a Protoss Hypergate, that led us into the Euclid Galaxy. My beloved first lieutenant, Valkyrie was captured while I was pursuing Crimson. The hypergate made me end up on an Alpine World, which is where my adventure began.
This Atlas entity can be used to create worlds, or in the hands of the Octoling Empire can destroy them, just as easily. My mission is to rescue Valkyrie and claim the Atlas to destroy the Octo-Empire.

Crash-landed on an Alpine Planet. And to make matters worse, multi-tool sensors are damaged, as well as the ship's launch thrusters and pulse engines. Until both pieces of equipment are fixed, I'm marooned on this frozen, yet lush wasteland. The distress beacon contained an Atlas entity, I spurned it's guidance, as I naturally oppose the concept of such a deity existing, save for the fact the I was once a God, like all other cephalopods and those before them. That's right, I am an Inkling, and I now traverse the galaxy, on my own.
Upon inspection of the planet, which I dubbed "Yilan", it seems the Sentinels are very protective of the planet's foliage and fauna. This can be confirmed, since any tree or large rock harvested is notified by the sentinels. It wouldn't be long before they decide to attack me, so I struck first, and gained two pieces of tech from the drones: Beam Intensifier Sigma, and Stamina Enhancement Sigma. These drones rarely miss a shot, making dodging a moot tactic. I also picked up a Cannon Damage Theta upgrade for the Photon Cannon inside a downed pod.
Eventually, I did repair the Launch thrusters. but I still couldn't take off unless the Pulse Engines went back online. This required Herdium, usually found in giant crystalline formations, and are tinted blue. There was no time to waste, I set out to find the Herdium.
On the way over, I found a repository of a certain resource, held up by the sentinels. After claiming this sector and clearing out these dangerous tentacle plants, dubbed "Lashers", I finally came upon the Herdium. After collecting over two-hundred kilos of this element. The last thing required was Zinc. Zinc is harvested from yellow plants, dubbed "Zincranium" flowers. After collecting over twenty kilos. I returned to the ship and repaired the Pulse Engines.
I had to activate the pulse jump several times since finding iron in those pink floating rocks are scarce. Iron was needed to fuel the Pulse Engines. Eventually, I made it to the space station which were inhabited by the Gek. These guys seem to have evolved from birds, having beaks and clicking noises. I gave the Navigator some units, and he gave me an adapter for my boltcaster, the Wideshot, which many dub the "Scattershot" Upgrade.
No matter how great the danger, I will find my place in the Galaxy, and my beloved Valkyrie, whom the Octoling Empire have imprisoned on some planet. Checking the Station's archives gave me a lead to a system with a green sun. But that, is a journey for another blog.

Greetings and How This Blog Works.
First, let me start off by saying, welcome to my new blog! I'm using this to record my findings in the Euclid Galaxy, as well as share my tale of galactic intrigue and discovery.
Although NMS lacked several key features showcased at the E3 Demo on launch, many of you are still wondering why I play this piece of Coprite? Though this is an unconfirmed explanation, the truth is that Hello Games dumbed down the game in hopes of reaching out to a more general audience, this would include children. I'm sorry, but no child playing this game would understand the more advanced mechanics from the E3 Demo. Even a millennial like me would not grasp the concept of customizing a ship both inside and out! So stop, with this "I was gypped" bull, you're just gonna make me play it more.
Now with that out of the way, here's what this Blog consists of. Two simple categories, Discoveries, and Journies. Discoveries are basically dossiers, of Planets, systems, and creatures that reside on planets. Journies are essentially what my mind was going through as I scouted the Euclid Galaxy.
If you have any suggestions for my NMS Blog, comment your ideas below.
